Criteria for nomination of inductees into the Cricket Hall of Fame
There are two categories of inductees -- Local and International.
International:
Members of the committee encourage nominations of persons who could be considered suitable candidates for induction from the cricketing public. The nominations are followed up with the biographies of those persons who are submitted. (A candidate must have retired from playing Test and First Class cricket for a minimum of three years and is one who has performed exceptionally during his career). The committee then reviews the information submitted do its own research and then make a decision as to whether the candidate meets the requirements for induction. Sponsors are then sought for the inductees especially those who live outside of the U.S. Incidentally, individuals who have made substantial contributions to the sport world-wide are also considered.
Local:
Individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the development and growth of the sport of cricket in the U.S.A. and Canada at all levels.
No percent of the Hall of Fame's funds are used for administration or programs. The Sportsmen's Club pays for the upkeep of the facility.
Cricket Hall of Fame rings are available for purchase by either the sponsor of the inductee or the inductee himself. |
